THE PUBLICATION
About Meter & Probe
A publication about what electrical measurements mean.
Make the reading understandable.
Meter & Probe explains multimeters, clamp meters and electrical test instruments for UK readers. The notes are organised around three contexts: electronics repair, low-voltage DC and battery measurements, and UK electrical testing references.
These pages are source-based explanations and calculated examples. The instrument tests described by external authors were not performed for this publication. Meter & Probe is not a certification body or an accredited calibration laboratory.
Who publishes this site?
Meter & Probe is operated by RETRETO NEXT LIMITED. Company No. 15166864, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: Office 8929, 182-184 High Street North, East Ham, London E6 2JA. Companies House record.
Articles carry the Meter & Probe byline. That byline is not a named electrician, metrologist or accredited laboratory.
The operator also owns related instrument retail sites. The disclosure policy explains how that relationship is presented.
Where the evidence comes from
We link original engineering publications, manufacturer documentation and official UK guidance, and the different role of each source stays visible. The methods page sets out what is required before a result is called an original test.
